About our chapter

Formed in 1973, the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates was one of the nation's first SUNA chapters and have won National Chapter of the Year an unprecedented 13 times.  This is more than any other chapter in SUNA.  It started with a meeting of four individuals at the Minneapolis Veterans Association, and has grown to a strong organization of over 150 nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants, and urology technicians.  Our members come from North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and western Wisconsin, and serve the urologic patient in various capacities including: inpatient, surgical, outpatient, laboratory, research, and industry.  We invite you to learn more about becoming an Upper Midwest Chapter SUNA member, or visiting us at one of our many educational opportunities!

Urology-specific continuing education

With health care businesses providing fewer and fewer funding for educational reimbursement, there is now a GREAT opportunity to get high quality Urology-specific continuing education through the SUNA website. Perfect for nurses who work exclusively in Urology, or those who work in a multispecialty inpatient or outpatient setting.
