2014 PROSTATE ZERO 5k run/walk:
The 2014 Prostate Zero 5krun/walk around Minneapolis's Lake Nokomis on Sept 20th was a huge success. We were able to have a booth with educational materials and fun handouts. Folks of all ages sported blue mustaches and glitter blue ribbon stickers thanks to UMCSUNA. Team "SUNA or later" had 12 participants, surpassing our goal of 8. We were also the 4th largest team this year. Congratulations to those who participated!

Hello fellow SUNA members!

Our UMC SUNA chapter is participating in the Zero prostate cancer run/walk @ Lake Nokomis Saturday September 19th. Please feel free to participate by joining our team in the link below under Karen Martin with our team “SUNA or later”. We are looking for members to participate in the walk, help staff the survivor’s tent booth and share information about Prostate health, or donate to our cause. Join us today!

Like many families, my life has been touched by prostate cancer, the most common cancer diagnosed in men. That’s why I’m committed to raising awareness and funds to end this disease. You can help in two ways:

1. Help save lives by running or walking with me.
2. Help me reach my goal by making a donation to my fundraising page.

I’d be so grateful if you would join or sponsor me. One in seven American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. Your support will help save lives and keep families together. Please visit ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Twin Cities to sign up or to donate today. Together, we can end prostate cancer!

 Pints for Prostates

The Stevens Point US Too Prostate Cancer Support Group met again for their annual 'Pints for Prostates' event at the Stevens Point Brewery, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on Saturday September 21st. Over $500 was raised for prostate cancer education. Pints for Prostates is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization focused on awareness. Proceeds raised go to support organizations that help in the fight against prostate cancer.
The Stevens Point prostate cancer support group chapter leader Michelle Radke (UMC SUNA member) has been volunteering with the support group for over 17 years - supporting men and their families with help from US Too International Prostate Cancer Education and Support Network.  Pints for Prostates, free prostate screenings, and Father's Day Walks are a few of the community projects the group focuses on
